Using your context

Browser Extension

Automatically inject your Stateful context into Claude.ai and ChatGPT.

The Stateful browser extension pushes your context into AI chat sites — so when you start a prompt on Claude.ai or ChatGPT, your relevant context is already there, without you re-explaining yourself.

Closed beta. The extension isn't in the Chrome Web Store yet. If you're a beta user and want it, reach out and we'll get you set up.

What it does

When you write a prompt on a supported site and press Enter:

  1. The extension reads your draft prompt.
  2. It asks Stateful for the most relevant slice of your context for that prompt.
  3. It inserts that context above your message.
  4. You press Enter again to send.

It's a deliberate two-step: the first Enter pulls in your context so you can see it, the second Enter sends. The AI gets a richer prompt; you get a better answer.

Supported sites

  • claude.ai
  • chatgpt.com (and the older chat.openai.com)

Sites that support native MCP connectors don't need the extension — connect them via MCP instead.

Setup

Once you have the extension, connecting it takes one step: click the Stateful icon in your toolbar, paste your access token, and save. The token is stored locally in your browser and is used only to fetch your context.

OAuth sign-in is coming. For now the extension uses a pasted token.
