Sentinel Development Group, Inc.

Terms of Service

The plain-English version: use the products lawfully, pay your subscription, don't abuse the system, and we'll keep our end of the deal. This page is the long-form contract.

Effective April 27, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the products operated by Sentinel Development Group, Inc. (“Sentinel Dev,” “we,” or “us”), including Nova (Browser, News, Share), Stateful, Soma (Life, Chat, Assistant), and Kora (collectively, the “Services”). By using any of the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Accepting these Terms

You accept these Terms when you create an account, use any of the Services, or click a button indicating acceptance. If you're using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you don't agree to these Terms, don't use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement and that your use complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

3. Your account

  • You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Don't share them.
  • You're responsible for all activity under your account, including activity by anyone you authorize.
  • If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at security@sentineldev.com.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we have reason to believe are compromised.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Most of our Services are paid subscriptions. Pricing is published on the relevant product page and may change with at least 30 days' notice for existing subscribers.

  • Billing cycle: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) until canceled.
  • Cancellation: cancel anytime in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds: we offer a full refund within 14 days of your first paid charge if the product doesn't work for you. Beyond that, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Taxes: prices exclude applicable taxes, which we collect where required.
  • Failed payments: if a payment fails, we'll retry and notify you. Persistent non-payment may result in account suspension.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right (including intellectual property and privacy rights).
  • Send spam, harass others, or transmit content that is illegal, defamatory, or harmful.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or networks (whether ours or anyone else's).
  • Interfere with the Services through DoS, scraping at unreasonable rates, or exploiting bugs without disclosure.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Services, except where this restriction is prohibited by law.
  • Use the Services to build a competing product, train AI models, or generate content that violates the AI provider's terms (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google policies).
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Services without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. In serious cases (e.g., illegal activity, security threats), we may suspend immediately and without notice.

6. Your content and data

You retain ownership of all data and content you upload, connect, or create within the Services (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the Services for you.

We do not claim ownership of Your Content. We do not use Your Content to train AI models. We do not sell Your Content. See our Privacy Policy for the full data-handling commitments.

For products that connect to external sources (e.g., Stateful, Soma), you represent that you have the right to grant us access to those sources, and that doing so doesn't violate any agreement you have with the source provider (e.g., your employer's data policies).

7. AI-generated output

Several Services use AI models to generate content (responses, summaries, syntheses). You should treat AI-generated output as informational, not authoritative. Specifically:

  • AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Verify before relying on it for decisions with consequences.
  • Don't use AI output as a substitute for professional advice (legal, medical, financial).
  • You're responsible for how you use AI output, including any content you publish or act on.
  • We make no warranty that AI output is fit for any particular purpose.

8. Service availability and changes

  • We aim for high availability but don't guarantee the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice. Material changes that reduce functionality you paid for will entitle you to a pro-rated refund.
  • We may release new features, integrations, and Services. New features are governed by these Terms unless explicitly stated otherwise.

9. Intellectual property

The Services, including all software, design, content, trademarks, and documentation, are owned by Sentinel Development Group, Inc. or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Services according to these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

If you give us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time:

  • You can terminate by canceling your subscription and deleting your account.
  • We may terminate for material breach of these Terms, abuse of the Services, or non-payment, with notice where reasonable.

On termination, your access to the Services ends. We retain the right to preserve, and where required by law disclose, data necessary for legal or regulatory purposes. See our Privacy Policy for data deletion timelines.

11. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against all attacks, or that AI output will be accurate.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data. Our total aggregate liability for claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations. In those cases, the limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any third-party right.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved as follows:

  1. Informal resolution first. Before filing any formal action, the parties will attempt in good faith to resolve disputes by writing to legal@sentineldev.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
  2. Binding arbitration. If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration administered by JAMS in Delaware, USA. The exception: small-claims actions and IP disputes may proceed in court.
  3. No class actions. You and we agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class or representative proceeding.
  4. 30-day opt-out. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of accepting these Terms by writing to legal@sentineldev.com with “Arbitration Opt-Out” in the subject line.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email and in the product, at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. The “Effective” date at the top of this page reflects the current version.

16. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement: these Terms, plus the Privacy Policy and any product-specific addenda, are the entire agreement between you and us.
  • Severability: if any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • No waiver: our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Force majeure: neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, government action, infrastructure failures).
  • Notices: we'll send notices to the email on your account. You can send notices to legal@sentineldev.com.
